The French Rev.
The Initial French Revolution took place from 1789 to 1791 in France. When we think of the French Revolution, we often think of Louis XVI, John Locke, Charles M, and Jean Jacques Rosseau. All of these men contributed greatly to the French Revolution. Louis XVI was the grandson and successor of Louis XV. Louis XVI ruled France from 1754-93 before being executed along with his wife and many other memebers of the Royal family. The cause of the French Revolution was mainly the economic and political issues due to debt from both the seven years war and the American Revoulution.
Louis XVI (1774–92): Was the last king of France in the line of Bourbon monarchs preceding the French Revolution of 1789. He was executed for treason by guillotine in 1793.
